True Crime Pulse
Editorial standards & corrections
A source-led discovery service, not a substitute for original reporting or court records.
Distinguish the work
TCP originals and editorial summaries are distinct from linked third-party work. Creator and show names identify the actual authors. A general TCP TikTok promotion is not case-specific coverage and is not included in clip counts.
Evidence before certainty
Timeline entries should link to a report or original record that supports the particular event and date. Seeded claims without supporting evidence stay in the review queue rather than being labelled confirmed. Reported allegations, charges, convictions, appeals and renewed coverage are different developments. Unverified links are not promoted as evidence.
How the Pulse works
Rankings describe indexed activity across monitored news, video, podcasts and social posts, with freshness and source diversity. They do not measure the entire internet or all social engagement. Manual pins are editorial picks with review dates, not invented virality or altered media counts. A successful provider check is different from a newly published story.
Images and attribution
Case artwork needs recorded provenance. Where a linked provider thumbnail is used, it is labelled as a coverage image, not represented as a verified portrait. Podcast and creator artwork comes from official provider metadata where available. TCP does not create fake photographs of real cases.
Review and correction
Send the affected URL, the disputed statement and a supporting source using Contact & corrections. The operator can review the private request, correct the material and record editorial changes. No response deadline is promised. Rights holders can use the same form for attribution or removal requests.
